Danielle Watson – Director / Head Teacher

Danielle Watson, the director of the Toddler Playgroup

Danielle Watson is an experienced educator with a varied background. She graduated from Providence College where she earned a BA in Elementary and Special Education. She worked as a special education teacher for five years before returning to graduate school at the University of Connecticut where she earned her MA in Speech and Language Pathology.

Ms. Watson is a certified Head Teacher by the State of Connecticut's Department of Public Health. She also holds a Connecticut Educator certification and an ASHA certification as a Speech Language Pathologist. (ASHA stands for American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.) Her Connecticut license as a Speech Language Pathologist is current.

"Miss Danielle" spent years working in schools and early-intervention programs as a teacher and later as a speech pathologist. Her experience with local Birth to Three providers as a developmental educator and speech pathologist has led to a passion for early education. She adores working with young children, and feels that a love of learning is one of the greatest gifts we can give children.

Ms. Watson lives in Mystic with her husband and four children. She spends her free time running, reading, and coaching youth soccer.
