As a Connecticut Notary Public, I am authorized to serve all of Connecticut.

As your mobile Notary Public, I will travel to your home, office, or other location convenient for you.

Ernest Adams, Connecticut Mobile Notary Public serving Connecticut from New London County.

Whether you are looking for a Groton, CT Notary Public to notarize a Living Will, a resident of New London, CT needing a Notary Public for a Power of Attorney, a business owner from Norwich, CT who needs a Notary Public for an Affidavit, a prospective adoptive parent in Ledyard, CT who needs Public Notary service for adoption documents, a signing service who needs a witness-only loan closer in Waterford, CT, or a Loan Officer who needs a Certified Notary Signing Agent to notarize reverse mortgage documents in Pawcatuck, CT, you have found the right person.

Your mobile Notary Public is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can call me at (860) 543-2334.

Please see the Disclaimers if you are looking for legal advice.

Please wait until the Notary Public is present before signing your documents! The Notary Public must see you sign your document in order to notarize your signature.
Changing a document once the signature has been notarized constitutes fraud.

Are you looking for a Notary Public for a Medallion Guarantee?

Hint: You don't want a Notary Public. You want a Medallion stamp, not a Notary stamp.

If you see "Medallion Guarantee" requirement, you want a bank officer or other person who has the special Medallion privilege that you need. Only someone who has the right to issue a Medallion Guarantee can guarantee in a formal, written way that you are who you claim to be.

My best advice is that you go to a bank where you already have one or more bank accounts.

It goes nearly unsaid that I am fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) because I travel to people with disabilities and provide Notary Public service in their homes, hospitals, and convalescent homes. This Web Site is intentionally very plain so that it can be used easily on Braille displays, iPhones, and other cell phones. Every attempt has been made to make this Site browser-independent and standards-compliant.

In order to be compliant with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA or GLB Act), I have passed a background screening (also known as a background check or criminal background check). Details are on the Frequently Asked Questions Page.

United States Federal Government Do Not Call Registry ("Do Not Call List")

Some people have asked how they can register to stop receiving unwanted telephone calls from telemarketers. The official Site is WWW.DoNotCall.Gov. There is no fee to register!

Scams and Rip-Offs

Because people have told me about various scams and rip-offs, I've created a Scams & Rip-Offs Page. If you have had experience with such things it would be appreciated if you would let me know!

Connecticut has 169 towns and cities (see the complete list), with many more unincorporated localities. Connecticut is divided into eight Counties.

For example, Mystic, CT is a village half of which lies in the Town of Groton and the other half in the Town of Stonington. I am happy to provide Notary Public services on both the Groton and Stonington sides of the Mystic River.

New London County, Connecticut (Locations and ZIP Codes)

In addition to the cities and towns mentioned above, places in New London County that I serve include Baltic, Bozrah, Colchester, East Lyme, Franklin, Gales Ferry, Griswold, Hanover, Jewett City, Lebanon, Ledyard, Lisbon, Lyme, Montville, Niantic, Noank, North Stonington, Oakdale, Occum, Old Lyme, Salem, Uncasville, and Waterford.

Middlesex County, Connecticut (Locations and ZIP Codes)

Some places in Middlesex County that I have notarized documents include Centerbrook, Chester, Clinton, Cromwell, Deep River, East Haddam, Essex, Higganum, Ivoryton, Killingworth, Middlefield, Middletown, Moodus, Old Saybrook, Portland, and Westbrook.

Windham County, Connecticut (Locations and ZIP Codes)

Windham County is the northeast County of Connecticut. Location names include Brooklyn, Canterbury, Danielson, Dayville, Killingly, Moosup, Plainfield, Pomfret, Putnam, Scotland, Wauregan, and Willimantic. Some of these towns may require an hour's travel; please be aware that my fees will be adjusted appropriately.

Tolland County, Connecticut (Locations and ZIP Codes)

Tolland County locations include Andover, Bolton, Columbia, Coventry, Hebron, Storrs, and Vernon. Some of these towns may require more than an hour's travel; fees will be adjusted accordingly.

New Haven County, Connecticut (Locations and ZIP Codes)

New Haven County locations include Branford, East Haven, Guilford, Madison, and New Haven. Some of these towns may require an hour's travel for me.

Hartford County, Connecticut (Locations and ZIP Codes)

Because Hartford County covers quite a bit of territory, you will probably find it most economical to have me serve you in Berlin, Glastonbury, Manchester, Marlborough, Newington, Rocky Hill, South Glastonbury, and Wethersfield. For other locations, please contact Melissa, another CT Mobile Notary Public.

Fairfield County, Connecticut (Locations and ZIP Codes)

Fairfield County is at the southwest corner of Connecticut. It is unusual for me to travel to Fairfield County to do Notary work. Please contact Malcolm, another outstanding Connecticut Notary Public.

Litchfield County, Connecticut (Locations and ZIP Codes)

Litchfield County covers the northwest corner of Connecticut. It is very rare for me to travel to Litchfield County to notarize signatures. It will be much more economical for you to find a local Notary Public.

As a Connecticut Notary Public, I notarize signatures on many kinds of legal documents.

Most documents that need to be notarized have a Notarial Certificate already on them.

Documents that I notarize include Wills (within certain limitations), Living Wills (also known as Advance Directives and Health Care Declarations), Health Care Agent Appointments, Powers of Attorney, Deeds (Quitclaim Deeds, Grant Deeds, etc.), real estate transactions, Department of Motor Vehicles forms (Request for Duplicate Title, for example), medical records, adoption documents, Domestic Partnership Agreements, Unclaimed Property Requests, and Affidavits (including medical affidavits). This is not meant to be an exhaustive list! If you have questions, please call me at (860) 543-2334 to discuss your needs.

Please note that having a document notarized does not make it "legal". A Public Notary Service will not knowingly notarize the signature on a document that contains statements that the Notary Public knows to be untrue. Please see the Frequently Asked Questions for more discussion.

Oaths of Office and Oaths for Court Proceedings

Connecticut law provides for a Notary Public to administer oaths of office. It is among the most simple of acts, but proper identification is still necessary.

Many times I have been called on to administer an oath for a person testifying in a court case in another state. The procedure was simple: The person testifying proved his identity and we waited for the telephone call from the court. When the phone call came, I identified myself, administered the oath, and left the room quietly. There is never a need for me to hear the testimony once I have administered the oath.

If the person taking any oath is not comfortable with the traditional wording of the oath, a Solemn Affirmation can be used instead.
